William married Winifred Nelms and had Samuel and William.
Samuel married Winifred Dameron and had William and Ann.
William married Ann Watts and had John William Downing. They moved to Accomac Co., VA. across the Chesapeake Bay.
John William married Edey Nottingham and had William John Downing.
William John married Hannah Jane Melson and had William Thomas Grove Downing. They moved to Pittsville, MD.
William Thomas Grove married Adelia Catherine Wainwright and had Norris Burwick Downing. They moved to Bivalve, MD.
Norris Burwick married Susan Emily Priscilla Jackson and had Clarence Burwick Downing. They moved to Salisbury, MD and later to Milford, DE.
Clarence Burwick married Mildred Jean Wright and had (yours truly) Richard Norris Downing.
Richard Norris married Frances Amelia Collins and had Drew Alan Downing. They sailed to Fort Myers, FL in their 40 ft Ketch and still reside there.
